OUR PARTNERS

We can't do it all alone. We value the opportunity to collaborate with the following groups and organizations:

AEO (Association for Enterprise Opportunity)

This national association of microenterprise programs keeps us tuned into the pulse of this work nationally and has involved WREN staff in a number of clusters focused on understanding and defining 'best practices' and 'lessons learned' in providing support to rural business owners. We highly recommend their annual conference for anyone interested in the microenterprise field.

The Aspen Institute: FIELD

While our two year grant from Aspen has ended, we continue to work with Aspen staff in tracking the outcomes of our work through MicroTest. WREN's work has been highlighted in a number of Aspen (FIELD) publications.

Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce

Bethlehem residents enjoy an outstanding quality of life. Located in the beautiful White Mountains region, Bethlehem offers clean, fresh air and an unparalleled array of outdoor recreational activities. Visit today!

Friends of the Colonial Theatre and the Bethlehem Redevelopment Association

The colonial is our nearest not-for-profit neighbor and collaborative partner in Bethlehem's revitalization. It offers live events, independent and foreign films, and other community events while providing a cultural center for the North Country. Its parent organization, the BRA, has supported our street banner project, undertakes beautification projects, and has provided facade improvement grants for Main Street businesses.

HandMade in the Northern Forest

A marketing initiative that has produced a guide offering driving routes through the northern parts of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine that features artists, artisans, and other cultural and arts related points of interest.

MicroCredit/NH

A program of the NH Loan Fund, MicroCredit provides the funds for our peer-lending group, Wrena$ense. We also jointly participate in a state association of microenterprise resource partners.

New Hampshire Stories

NHS publishes an annual guide of NH owned businesses. We share the mission to create new markets for rural product-based enterprises.

North Country Council

A regional planning organization, we collaborate on economic development issues.

North Country Regional Office of the Small Business Development Center

A great resource for technical assistance for emerging and established business owners. We refer many of our members to them for one-on-one counseling.

Hannah Grimes Marketplace

Located in Keene, NH, HGM provides education and market access to New Hampshire-based businesses.

Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce

15,000 years ago, in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the receding ice age formed Franconia Notch, a mountain pass, between the Kinsman and Franconia Mountain Ranges. It is a land of 5000 feet mountain peaks, waterfalls, pristine lakes, and rivers. Abundant wildlife including Moose, Bears, Wild Turkeys and 70 Species of Songbirds call Franconia Notch home.Visit Franconia Notch today!

The New Hampshire Institute of Agriculture and Forestry

We are our state's first hands-on professional association, training ground, and on-site consulting organization for farmers and foresters. Our mission is to break down the barriers to entering and succeeding in the critically important careers of producing our food and preserving our woodlands. Our goal is to help transform our state to one that sustainably produces most of its own food and improves our environment by using 100 % renewable energy. That's an example for our country, our world...and a gift to our children.
